Gone are the days when reshaping your nose meant committing to surgery. Non-surgical rhinoplasty with hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers offers a precise, customizable, and minimally invasive way to refine the nose with no downtime, no incisions, with instant results. The treatment involves very precise injections of small amounts of filler to enhance my patient’s profile.
HA fillers can smooth bumps, enhance symmetry, lift the nasal tip, and define the bridge, all in an in-office treatment. Whether you’re looking for subtle refinement or a more sculpted profile, this modern approach to nose reshaping delivers natural-looking, reversible results tailored to your unique facial harmony.
Despite having performed so many of these treatments, I’m still surprised at how subtle, micro bolus injections can have such a profound effect on my patient’s confidence. This is why, the NSR( non surgical rhinoplasty) is a great alternative to surgery in the right candidate.
Precision injection techniques allow me to correct the following concerns in my patients:
- Augmentation of flat nasal bridges
- ● Enhancement of the nasal tip definition
- ● Minor reductions in nostril size appearance
- ● Filling of depressions in the sides of the nasal wall
- ● Improvement of nasal symmetry
- ● Straightening of minor septal deviations
- ● Lifting of drooping nasal tips
The Procedure Experience
Like all treatments in our office, we recommend a consultation to assess your goals.
The consultation begins with a thorough evaluation:
- Detailed facial analysis and proportions assessment
- Discussion of aesthetic goals and expectations
- Evaluation of nasal structure and skin quality
- Determination of appropriate filler type and technique
- Discussing if you are an appropriate candidate for the NSR
The day of your NSR, here’s what you can expect:
- Topical anesthetics for pain-free treatment
- Quick procedure time, typically 30 minutes
- Minimal discomfort during the injection process
- Immediate visibility of results
- Expect to take it easy after your procedure, so avoid heavy lifting or working out to prevent any trauma
Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the recovery timeline after non-surgical rhinoplasty?
- Day 1: Possible mild swelling, redness at injection sites, and minor tenderness
- Days 2-3: Most visible signs of treatment resolve for most patients
- Days 4-7: Complete resolution of any minor bruising or swelling
- Week 2: Final settling of filler and true results become apparent
- Expect results to last 6-12 months.
How long is the actual procedure time for a non-surgical rhinoplasty?
The actual injection time for non-surgical nose correction typically ranges from 15-30 minutes. However, patients should anticipate spending 45-60 minutes at the office to allow for pre-procedure preparation, including photographs, consent forms, and application of topical anesthetic.
What are the side effects of NSR?
*Bruising along the nasal bridge
*Swelling: this resolves in a few days, no special care is required
*Tenderness: I usually advise Tylenol for relief of any discomfort
*Vascular occlusion is a rare side effect if the filler is injected into a blood vessel interfering with the blood supply of the skin or blindness. Although rare, I make sure to discuss this in great detail with each patient. There are steps that can be taken to decrease the risks, but it’s important to know that nothing eliminates the risks.
Rejuvenation MD Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Services
I offer the NSR at both office locations, Greensboro and Asheboro. I have also trained on various techniques from several different physicians, including Dr. Ayad of London, who is referred to as “The Nose Guy”. Done correctly, the NSR is one of the most rewarding procedures I offer. I still get emotional watching the reactions of my patients once I hand them a mirror. I can’t wait to share my before and after pictures with you during the consultation!
