If you are researching the best CoolSculpting Asheboro NC, we highly suggest scheduling a consultation with Rejuvenation MD Aesthetics & Vein Center. If you’re not quite ready for a consultation, we’ve put together a quick rundown of everything patients need to know about CoolSculpting before scheduling a CoolSculpting treatment.
What is Coolsculpting?
Have you reached your goal weight, but still have stubborn areas of fat that just do not seem to go away no matter how much you diet or exercise? Coolsculpting may be exactly what you’re looking for. This state-of-the-art treatment targets areas of stubborn fat and uses cryolipolysis (aka fat freezing) to freeze the fat in the treated area. The treatment has been FDA-approved since 2010, meaning that the benefits of the treatment truly are as stated. It’s been reviewed and scientifically-proven time and time again.
Fat freezes at a higher temperature than skin. Fat freezes at 41 degrees Fahrenheit whereas skin freezes at 32 degrees Fahrenheit over a prolonged period of time which ultimately results in frostbite. Cryolipolysis freezes fat, destroying it permanently while leaving the skin completely unharmed.
CoolSculpting is not a surgery. There is no cutting or needles involved. Instead, it uses paddles to cool the area being treated. During the procedure, 20-25% of the fat cells are destroyed. Over the next few months, your immune system will help to remove the remaining dead fat cells. So, the results just get better with time.
What Can I Expect at the Consultation?
What is special about Rejuvenation MD Aesthetics & Vein Center is that we are NOT a med spa; we are a medical office. When you come in, your consultation will be with a board-certified physician, Dr. Umbreen Chaudhary, and a registered nurse who together, have completed years of training and decades of combined experience, so you can rest assured that the care you receive is trustworthy and thorough.
To prepare for your consultation, we highly recommend that you come ready to show us what you’re working with! We encourage you to be as open and honest as possible so that we can be honest with what to expect and help you achieve the results you want. We want to know your goals and what you are expecting from the treatment. We will assess your target area and will determine if you’re a candidate for treatment. What is important to understand is that CoolSculpting is not liposuction, and it is NOT a treatment for weight loss. Liposuction requires plastic surgeons to surgically remove fat from specific parts of the body that do not respond to overall weight loss. When you gain weight, fat cells increase in size. When you lose weight, fat cells decrease in size, but the total number of fat cells in your body remains the same. Both liposuction and CoolSculpting reduce the number of total fat cells in your body, specifically in the area being treated.
Remember, CoolSculpting is designed to freeze away that pesky fat that lingers even after diet, exercise, and healthy lifestyle changes, NOT to jumpstart a diet. It is ideal to be at your goal weight when considering the treatment and maintaining the weight throughout the treatment process. At least 2 treatments are always recommended about 4 weeks apart. When you come in for the consultation we will weigh you and take photos from ALL angles so we can see what we are working with and track your progress accurately!
What Are the Risks & How Long Does CoolSculpting Take?
Coolsculpting is a safe, low-risk treatment. You can expect the treated areas to be cold and numb following the treatment, and some may experience mild bruising. Typically, each treatment lasts around 35-40 minutes PER treatment area. Keep that in mind if treating multiple areas! Bring a book or your phone, ready to scroll! Coolsculpting is provided to you conveniently in our Asheboro, North Carolina location and our treatment room here at Rejuvenation MD Aesthetics & Vein Center has a TV so you can quite literally “Netflix & Chill” that stubborn fat away! On the day of the treatment wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Sit back, relax & let us do all the work!
